Who runs Blatt

Blatt is made by Yannick Pulver in Switzerland. Questions about your data go to hey@yannickpulver.com.

What Blatt stores

Blatt keeps what you write so it shows up on all your devices:

  • Your account: name, email address and user ID from Google or Apple sign-in.
  • Your notes, lists, recipes, journal entries, todos, categories and their photos.
  • Places you add to todos, for reminders when you arrive or leave.
  • A push token per device, so widgets and reminders stay current.
  • If you connect Google Calendar: the access needed to keep your todos and its events in sync.

Blatt checks your location on your device to trigger place reminders, also while the app is closed. Blatt does not send where you are to its servers.

Blatt has no ads, no tracking and no analytics, and it never sells your data.

Who processes it

  • Google Firebase stores your account, notes and photos, and sends push notifications.
  • Google Gemini suggests titles, emoji and store aisles from the text or photo of a note.
  • Photon by Komoot answers place searches with what you type into them and, for nearby results and “Current location”, your position at that moment.
  • Vercel hosts blatt.li. Link previews fetch the pages you link to.

They process the data only to provide these features.

Sharing

A note you share is visible to the people you invite. Nobody else sees your notes.

Delete your account

In the iPhone or Android app, open Profile → Danger zone → Delete account. Your account, your notes, todos and photos are deleted right away. Notes you shared stay with their other members only if they own them.

Without the app, email hey@yannickpulver.com from the address you sign in with, and your account is deleted within 30 days.

You can also delete single notes and todos in the app at any time.
